Position: Credit Analyst

Job Description:

The Credit Analyst is responsible for the processing of credit applications for potential customers and establishing accounts. This individual will conduct periodic credit updates for existing customers and determine risk by comparing credit limits to open account balances.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Review and process credit applications for potential customers
• Analyze credit data and payment history to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit within the current company guidelines
• Analyze risk comparing credit limit and terms to open balance
• Initial entry and maintenance of account in Customer Data Maintenance system
• Assist Credit Supervisor in identifying high risk customers
• Validate that new accounts are set up with appropriate credit limits, terms, risk level, and relationships
• Communicate with internal and external customers to resolve credit issues
• Deactivate accounts as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• College degree preferred
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Experience in credit and collections and billing procedures preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with all levels of the organization
• Strong attention to detail
