We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle school Science Teacher to join our team. Our small charter school has about 55 total students in 6th-8th grade. Small class sizes, BIG impact! Your role would be to teach one class of each- 6th, 7th and 8th grade science, as well as support the classroom teacher in STEM projects for younger students.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum guidelines
- Foster critical thinking and analytical skills through classroom discussions and activities
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their academic performance
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
- State teaching certification in Secondary Science or enrolled in a program
- Strong knowledge of educational best practices
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to tailor lessons to meet the diverse needs of students
