Job Description

Greenwood Municipal Federal Credit Union is seeking an Operations Manager who will report to the CEO.

Purpose: Responsible for assisting the Credit Union President/CEO/Manager in the overall management of the Credit Union. As a member of Senior Management team, responsible for ensuring member satisfaction commensurate with the best interest of the members, employees, and the Credit Union. Provide input on strategic direction and vision to the President/CEO/Manager.

**Assume all responsibilities of the Credit Union President/CEO/Manager in his or her absence.

Management

  • Represent the credit union in a courteous and professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in processing of transactions.
  • Communicate properly with employees to ensure positive and clear understanding of credit union goals and direction.
  • Supervise direct reports and administer all Human Resource responsibilities to include approving leaves, coaching and performance reviews, counseling and disciplinary actions; and setting goals and standards for performance standards.
  • Ensure quality member service at all times, and that member complaints are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Oversee all branch operations; ensure adherence to posted hours of operation and security guidelines. Ensure all equipment is in working order.

Operations

  • Serve as credit union representative for internal and external audits. Provide auditors with accurate, timely information upon request.
  • Attend all Board Meetings; and report on assigned areas of responsibility as requested by President/CEO.
  • Serve as backup to the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Oversee all High School Branches.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

  • Possess education equivalent to two years of college or an Associate’s Degree. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Required Skills / Experience

  • Possess a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
  • Possess a minimum of three to five years of similar or related experience in a financial institution.
  • Demonstrate ability to motivate and influence others to achieve personal and team goals.
  • Possess numerical aptitude and intermediate mathematical skills performing calculations involving adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
  • Possess judgment skills and exceptional decision-making skills involving situations that go beyond clear, concise guidelines.
  • Possess ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, members and the general public.
  • Possess well-developed written and verbal communication skills where the use of discretion, accuracy and clarity is substantial.

Physical Demands

  • Possess the ability to work a flexible schedule to include occasional after hours as necessary.
  • Be able to travel as needed between locations.
  • Be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs. and move coin bags on a regular basis.

Use of Senses

  • Communicating via telephone and in person on frequent basis.
  • Viewing a computer terminal for an extended period of time while producing documents and conducting research.
  • Listening proactively and responding appropriately.

Mental Demands

  • Extended periods of concentration
  • Analysis and interpretation of complicated information
  • Multiple tasks requiring prioritization of work
  • Attention to detail
