Seeking a caring, responsible individual to work directly with a 14 year old boy who has intellectual and mental health disabilities. Services would be provided in the child's home, as well as in the community. The location is in Grimes, IA. During the school year, hours would be prior to school, beginning at 5:30am until approximately 7:30am, Monday-Friday. As well as after school beginning at 4:00pm for 2-3 hours, 1-2/x week. Overnight weekend Respite provided in your own home from Friday after school until Sunday afternoon, a minimum of 44 hours, would be required 1-2 weekends/ month.

As it is an independent contractor position, no benefits are offered. Hourly pay would be $18/hour. Overnight weekend Respite would pay $370 for a minimum of 44 hours/ weekend.

Duties:

- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Implement individualized care plans and behavioral support plans
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals under your care
- Document individual progress and any incidents accurately

Skills:

- Experience in caregiving/ behavior modification/ mental health
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices
- Ability to work with people with developmental disabilities and autism
- Proficient in assisting with ADLs and understanding behavioral support systems
- Possession of a valid driver's license for transportation needs
- Background in childcare or related fields is advantageous
