A Time Four Paws is Hiring a Kennel Assistant Near Halfmoon, NY
A Time Four Paws is looking for kennel assistants to join our team. This is the place where PACK IS FAMILY. We work with high energy dogs and do not ban breeds or sizes. We are also a sponsor for Bandit's Chance Rescue for which we house, care for and train dogs that are hoping to find their forever homes.We are located on 1534 Route 9. Our ideal candidate is a mature, ambitious, efficient, prompt, thorough, pays attention to detail and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning up messes in yards and play areas throughout the day while packs are running
- Assisting pack leaders in watching over packs while making sure waters are freshened, messes are cleaned up, kennels are set up and checked for safety.
- Gathering laundry for washing, putting away and cleaning.
- Re-filling cleaning supplies.
- Changing out mop buckets
- Cleaning and sanitizing play and living areas
- Moving dogs within the facility.
- Bathing dogs and assisting with nail trims
Qualifications
- Must be comfortable around dogs off leash and running around.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow direction while packs are going.
- Understanding and upholding the responsiblity of caring for live animals in regards to their health and welfare.
- adhering to strict policies and practices regarding safety of the animals and staff.
- Being a part of an active team in a fast paced environment.
This is an entry level position with possible growth potential for the right candidate. Hours will vary anywhere between 7am and 8pm according to needs of the pack and staff availability and weekends are a must. We are looking forward to receiving your application. Thank you.
