Creative Financial Staffing is Hiring a Senior Staff Accountant Near Hamden, CT
- Our client in New Haven, CT has been providing affordable medical treatment to the surrounding area for over 60 years. With multiple on-site locations where individuals and families can receive supportive medical care including immunizations, family care, and walk in appointments. They are in need of a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team. This position has hybrid flexibility later on but would need to be on-site during onboarding. Report directly to the CFO who CFS placed!
- Upload Operating Account monthly cash activity
- Reconcile Agency bank and investment accounts to monthly statements
- Prepare monthly journal entries and maintain account reconciliations and schedules for Balance Sheet accounts (i.e.: Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Expenses, Due To/From, etc.)
- Maintain Fixed Asset schedule and related Depreciation journal entries
- Reconcile the monthly AMEX statement and compile all documentation to support statement charges
- Analyze and report on billing account write-offs
- Cross train with goal of expanding skillset and serve as schedule coverage, including Accounts Payable, Payroll and Purchasing
- Assist with periodic and annual audits
- Provide support in analyzing transactions as requested by the Controller and/or VP of Finance
- Other projects/responsibilities as assigned.
- BS in Accounting/Finance
- 3 years of Accounting experience
