Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer for our Air Force customer in Hampton, VA. How a Senior Systems Engineer Will Make an Impact:

• Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
• Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks
• Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability
• Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed
• Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks
• Designs and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks
• Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Active Secret clearance (TS eligible)
• Must meet the certification requirement of DoD Directive 8140.01 and 8570.01-M or otherwise stated in individual task order.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNA) (Highly Preferred)
• Enterprise Level Network Experience
• Onsite in Hampton, Virginia
• BA/BS or equivalent, 8 years of experience

Skills:

• Communication Network, Data Communication Networks, Networks, Telecommunications Network
• - 1 to 2 years of call in manager experience
• - Cisco unified call manager experience

Certifications:

• CCNA Routing and Switching - Cisco Systems - CompTIA - CompTIA
• CCMP (preferred) - offer contingent on getting after 60 days on contract

Experience:

• 5 years of related experience
