Director of Operations
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to lead manufacturing warehouse operations. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire operations process, ensuring optimal performance, and driving continuous improvement.
Pay Rate
$100k
Full relocation expense coverage
Director of Operations Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all aspects of the manufacturing warehouse operations, including production, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company goals, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and process improvement.
• Thorough familiarity with automated manufacturing and engineering methods, JIT parts scheduling, kanban systems, TS 16949, ISO 14001, and SIX sigma/OPEX philosophies and techniques.
• Experience in a highly automated high-volume automotive component manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in areas such as DOT and BATF related to the handling, storage, shipment, and control of explosive materials.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Director of Operations Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Exposure to mechanical, electrical, or chemical processes requiring the use of protective eyewear.
• Office/shop environment with occasional weekend, holiday work, and on-call requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Occasional business-related travel.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Competency in basic shop math and computer proficiency.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
