The Quality Incoming Inspector is responsible for assisting and supporting the Supplier Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and/or Quality Engineers by providing inspection data to resolve Quality issues within the production operation and/or suppliers by ensuring that the components meet requirements of Edwards drawings and specifications. This role carries out relevant testing and where necessary take corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues. Reports and maintain data of quality issues, ensuring the Quality Management System is adhered to at all stages.

Education/Experience desired:

• Able to interpret/read blueprints and GD&T notes.
• Operate micrometers, hygrometers, torque meters, thermometers, durometers, optical comparators, verniers and assorted gauges, CMM equipment.
• Experience using Quality Tools (i.e., documentation support, root cause analysis, process auditing, inspections).
• Experience with quality systems like ISO 9001 or its equivalent.
• Experience developing/documenting procedures, preferred.

Specific knowledge/Skills:

• Quality orientation and high attention to detail.
• Knowledge and recent experience in product inspection, process auditing, compiling/analyzing/reporting performance data, reading and understanding drawings/specifications/technical requirements, leading process improvement initiatives.
• Problem analysis/resolution skills.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft’s Office.

Work environment:

• Moderate risks or discomforts requiring safety precautions, working around machines in production facilities. Protective clothing or wear such as safety glasses, gloves and shoes may be required.
• Work requires some physical strain such as standing and walking in production facility and lifting of moderately heavy items such as test equipment kits and product cases.
