STEM Solutions Recruitment is Hiring a Quality Assurance Test Lead Near Havre de Grace, MD
We are looking to recruit a Senior Quality Assurance Test Lead for a global composite materials manufacturer based at their Havre De Grace, Maryland site. As a Senior Quality Assurance Test Lead you will play a leading role in managing and conducting customer specific tests for materials, including working alongside the Lab Manager to develop mechanical testing capability and test methods. You will also be responsible developing and maintaining the relevant quality and regulatory management systems including AS9100.
To be considered for this position as a Senior Quality Assurance Test Lead you must possess significant quality experience within the aerospace/defense component manufacturing sector, along with previous mechanical testing experience of materials and experience of developing test methods. This includes previous compression testing, analytical testing and knowledge of an adhesive preparation process. Any applicant must have experience in working with AS9100 and ISO9001 QMS.

Basic salary: $90,000 - $120,000 - compensation package will be dependant on a variety of factors relating to the applicant.
Role Responsibilities
Manage and conduct customer-specific materials test working closely with technical services to deliver timely test data to customers.
Work along-side the lab manager to develop mechanical and analytical testing capability including compression testing.
Develop and maintain the relevant quality and regulatory management systems including AS9100.
Work closely with engineering to improve laboratory equipment.
Provide essential training to support and new product introduction.
Evaluate new equipment and new raw materials adhering to safety compliance.
Role Requirements
B.S educated in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
Previous industrial experience spent within a materials/analytical testing laboratory.
Must possess a good working knowledge of mechanical testing techniques including compression moulding.
Someone with knowledge of adhesive bonding process would be highly desirable.
Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001.
