Summary:

Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to the building, grounds and critical manufacturing support systems. Support the facilities department to perform preventative maintenance activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (List of primary responsibilities of this role that account for 5% or more of the work. Incumbent may perform other duties as assigned.) * Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to the building and grounds as required to ensure compliance with specifications.

• Perform electrical (120V, 208V: 3-phase, 480v: 3-phase) and HVAC work. HVAC work will include cooling/refrigeration system maintenance
• Provide support to ensure pest control and building security requirements are maintained.
• Performed assigned preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled to ensure reliability of equipment and compliance with specifications.
• Perform support and maintenance of the plant critical systems (HVAC, Compressed Air, Purified Compendial Water Systems, Nitrogen) to ensure efficient operation and compliance with specifications.
• Support production and maintenance technicians as required to maintain plant manufacturing operation activities.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills (ability to read, write and speak fluent English) and understanding of cGMP regulations. Good procedural writing skills.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of mechanical systems repair is desired.

The physical requirements of this position

• Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

• The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.)
