PURCHASING MANAGER

Our team in Henderson currently has an opening for a Purchasing Manager

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading a group of Packaged Buyers and Direct Buyers to meet the needs of Brenntag and our customer base.
• Work closely with Inventory Management, Product Management and Director of Materials Managed to insure Brenntag Mid-South’s supply chain strategy is executed.
• Develop and maintain key Best Practices to drive efficiency and success across the Packaged and Direct Buying team.
• Maintain open communication with key stakeholders and foster communication amongst cross-functional teams.
• Lead team meetings to communicate information and drive best practices.
• Drive accountability within the team.
• Notify branches, inventory specialists and customer service of any upset in supply chain issues.
• Analyze purchasing trends for cost saving measures.
• Handle problems and disputes quickly and in a professional manner.

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred, a minimum of 3 years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess a high level of skill with Microsoft Excel, Teams and Outlook.
• Thorough working knowledge of business operating systems.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work to meet time sensitive deadlines.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
