The Invo-Progressus Team seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to join our team at an all boys school located in Canonsburg, PA.
This position is crucial in providing individualized support and education to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring their academic and personal growth in a supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities : Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) : Develop and implement comprehensive IEPs tailored to meet the unique academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of each student.
Regularly review and update IEPs in collaboration with parents, administrators, and other support staff. Instructional Planning and Delivery : Plan and deliver effective lessons using appropriate instructional techniques and strategies that accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
Adapt curriculum materials and resources to ensure accessibility and engagement for all students. Behavior Management : Implement positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Utilize proactive strategies to address behavioral challenges and promote self-regulation skills among students. Collaboration and Communication : Work collaboratively with general education teachers, counselors, and other specialists to coordinate services and support for students with special needs.
Use data to modify instructional strategies and interventions to support student learning and achievement. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Valid teaching certification in Special Education (PA certification required). Previous experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
