Kubernetes experience is required!We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior Java Developer with experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD) or related government agencies. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional looking to kick-start their career in software development while contributing to critical projects in defense and national security.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications and systems under the guidance of senior team members.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in software development activities across the entire lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to technical solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and performance of applications.
- Learn and apply DoD regulations and security protocols to ensure compliance with government standards.
- Document code, processes, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development.
- Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide status updates and seek clarification as needed.
