The Teller I position is responsible for assisting customers with all basic banking needs. These duties include deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, cashiers checks, processing loan payments, cash advance requests, and foreign currency exchange.

• Process customer transactions.
• Process cashiers checks, CDs, and money orders.
• Scan every transaction at their station, confirm that all fields are correct, and make proof corrections when applicable.
• Buy and sell money to Lead Teller.
• Maintain cash limit in teller drawer.
• Gather CTR information for transactions that exceed the established threshold.
• Process cash advance requests and savings bonds.
• Process loan payments.
• Process the bags received from armored couriers.
• Balance cash drawer.
• Attend monthly meetings.
• Process foreign currency and change orders.
• Prepare night depository log.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of cash handling experience.
• Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer knowledge in MS Software, (e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Jack Henry training and knowledge of banking laws and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act/AML and Patriot Act is preferred.
