What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Leading the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including 401(k), non-qualified deferred compensation, medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Manage Deferred Compensation Plan Committee including preparation for the quarterly meetings and drafting minutes.
  • Resolving operational and regulatory compliance issues relating to qualified and non-qualified plans.
  • Manage partnership with recordkeeper, trustee, investment advisor and attorneys.
  • Performing full plan administration tasks such as eligibility determination, annual audits, financial statement preparation, and form 5500 preparation.
  • Conducting nondiscrimination testing, including ADP/ACP calculations and other related tasks.
  • Manage NQDCP key or specialized employee list.
  • Perform due diligence on the retirement plans for acquired as well as coordinating the merge or termination of the retirement plans we acquire.
  • Staying informed about changes in benefits-related legislation and assessing their impact on our programs.

  • Providing employees with the information and support they need to make informed benefits decisions.
  • Maintaining compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulatory and compliance laws.
  • Improving the effectiveness of existing benefits offerings through data-driven recommendations.
  • Enhancing employee satisfaction and engagement through effective benefits communication and education.
  • Contributing to the overall success of Synopsys by supporting the well-being of our employees.
What You’ll Need:
  • Extensive experience in Retirement and Health & Welfare benefits administration
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8-10 years of experience in corporate benefits in complex business environments, 5-6 years specializing in managing retirement plans
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • High level of benefit plan design, regulatory and compliance knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Designation from World at Work or International Employee Benefits Foundation a plus
  • Ability to act as liaison/partner with Finance, Legal, Payroll & HR
  • Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulatory and compliance laws (e.g., ERISA, PPACA, FMLA, CFRA, PDL).
  • Proficiency in performing nondiscrimination testing and related tasks.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret benefits-related data.
  • Experience in developing and delivering employee communications related to benefits

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $101,000-$151,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys offers comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits as part of a of a competitive total rewards package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
