Senior Internal Auditor (Operational) #37221
Our large, reputable financial services client is currently looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join their team! The company has been growing organically and through acquisitions and they are adding headcount as they expand their audit teams to support their growth. Salary range: $85,000-$100,000
The Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for operational and compliance audits. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform operational audit engagements to determine if controls have been adequately designed and are operating effectively
- Assist the Audit Manager in risk assessment, audit planning, and audit program development.
- Partner with leadership to provide the audit committees and business unit leadership reliable information on the state of controls, compliance, and risks across the company
- Lead internal audit staff, interns and project-based external consultants, as applicable
- Identify issues and ensure potential risks and concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner
- Prepare reports of findings and recommendations for management
- Ad-hoc tasks, initiatives, reviews, investigations, and process improvement efforts
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
- 3 years’ operational audit experience
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization
- Spanish language skills preferred
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products. Experience with data analysis software a plus.
- Professional designation (e.g., CIA) preferred
