BENTELER Automotive is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Process Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning and optimizing complex manufacturing processes to meet defined costs, technology standards, deadlines, and customer targets.
Position Responsibility
- Plan complex manufacturing processes, considering production capacities and layouts
- Create performance descriptions for equipment
- Obtain offers for equipment and parts procurement
- Conduct international construction meetings with machinery and equipment suppliers
- Participate in the final approval and technical release of production and test equipment
- Coordinate with internal and external tool and mechanical engineering companies
- Develop new manufacturing processes
- Support and advise product development from a technical perspective
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the designated area of responsibility
- Minimum five (5) years of working experience in a relevant role
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Higher education preferred)
- Previous Project Launch experience
- Previous Program Management experience
- Ability to travel up to 20% within West Michigan
- Preferred experience with ABB Robotics and ABB Robot Studio, Welding, and/or Controls
