We are looking for a dynamic educator to develop strong, proactive relationships with students that foster their passion and unique interests. The School Counseling Department is well versed in supporting students' social/emotional and academic needs and excellent in utilizing collaborative problem solving that allows for creative solutions for working with students.
We Are Looking For An Individual Who Can
- Provide all students with the necessary skills to successfully navigate academic, social, and emotional demands and create a lifestyle they envision for themselves
- Collaborate with teachers/parents/students/administration/mental health providers to assure student success
- Work in a team to ensure proper academic placement and a smooth transition into the high school for all 8th grade students
- Support students and families through the college search and application process
- Work with all students to create a plan for graduation
Public School employees of Massachusetts are required to submit their fingerprints to a National Criminal Database check. The check will require you to pay a fee of $55 if you hold an Educator’s License, or $35 if you are an unlicensed employee. In addition to the national background check, a satifsfactory Massachusetts Criminal Record Check (CORI) is required.
