JOB DESCRIPTION:
Join the dynamic team at Schmidt & Salita Law as we seek a driven and seasoned paralegal to complement our roster! In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our attorneys, specializing in personal injury, worker’s compensation, and exposure cases. We're searching for a candidate with at least two years of personal injury experience, detail-oriented with strong computer skills, excellent communication and organization skills. Strong research and writing abilities, attention to detail, familiarity with legal vocabulary, and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines are essential. This full-time position is Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. You'll be an integral part of our team consisting of 8 attorneys, 10 paralegals, and additional support staff.
RATE OF PAY: Starting pay at $52,000 but dependent on experience level
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Interviewing clients about injuries and document conversation(s) to file
· Gathering medical reports
· Manage deadlines
· Work with case management system (CLIO)
· Assist in preparing settlement demands
· Draft, format and proofread documents and correspondence
· Preparing and filing court documents
· Other duties as assigned
