Job Details
DescriptionArhaus Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for safeguarding our organizations digital assets and infrastructure. Responsibilities will include threat analysis, system design and implementation, vulnerability assessment, incident response, training and awareness education, and developing policy and compliances relevant to current laws and regulations. A successful cybersecurity engineer combines technical expertise with strategic planning to enhance our organizations security posture and protect against cyber threats.
Essential Duties & ResponsiblitiesThreat Analysis
  • Monitor the organization’s networks for security breaches and investigate violations when the occur.
  • Stay updated with the latest intelligence, including hackers’ methodologies to anticipate security breaches.
System Design and Implementation
  • Design, implement, and upgrade security measures and controls to protect digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.
Vulnerability Assessment
  • Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to find and address vulnerabilities.
  • Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
Incident Response
  • Lead incident response, including forensics and post event analyses.
  • Documents security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
Training and Awareness
  • Educate staff about security best practices through training sessions and regular communication.
  • Develop and maintain the company’s Incident Response Plan and lead the Incident response Team.
Policy and Compliance
  • Assist in developing and mainteaing company-wide best practices for IT security.
  • Ensure compliance with the changing laws and applicable regulations.
Collaboration
  • Collaborate with IT operations to ensure hardware, software, and network installations are following industry best practices for security.
  • Engage with third-party partners, vendors, and stakeholders on security requirements and concerns.
RequirementsEducation and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certification such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or CompTIA Security are a plus.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a cybersecurity role or related position.
  • Experience with firewall and intrustion detection/prevention protocols.
  • Familiarity with web-related technologies, including web applicatons web services, and service-oriented architectures, and the security-related implications. Skills
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of latest cyber threats and methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of risk management and the ability to relay this understanding to colleagues not well-versed in security protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
Technical Proficiency
  • Proficiency in noperation systems, including Windows, Lunix, and MacOS.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 37002, or CIS.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, data encryption, and related authentication systems.
