Reche Canyon Regional Rehab Center is Hiring a Director of Staff Development Near Inland, CA

*****FIVE STAR RATED SKILLED NURSING & SUB-ACUTE FACILITY*****

IS HIRING FOR A DIRECTOR OF STAFF DEVELOPMENT

Primary duties:

  • Must be licensed and have leadership skills
  • Serves as direct supervisor for CNA’s (complete annual performance eval)
  • Educator for entire facility (all CNA.’s, nurses, everyone)
  • Educates and tracks CNA. re-certification program: mandatory per state
  • Staff recruitment
  • Staff retention
  • Agency elimination / reduction
  • Oversees new hire orientation
  • Oversees annual skills lab (annual competency for CNA.’s and nurses)

- Ensure that all employee personnel files are in compliance.

- Confirms the validity of certifications for all CNA's, LVN's, RN's, RNA's hired.

- Participates in the CNA selection/interview process.

- Creates and oversees daily nursing schedules to ensure sufficient staff to enable proper coverage of resident assistant.

- Assisting all new hires with their paperwork and running background checks.

- Must be able to take leadership and be responsible for the orientation process.

- Schedules and coordinates and Orientation program for all new facility staff, including licensed staff, and ensure training occurs prior to direct patient care.

- Prepares/obtains and files lesson plans for all facility employee-training program.

- Plans and delivers all staff in-services.

- Performs daily rounds in the facility to assess and identify resident needs/problems. Conduct staff in-services, when needed, to abate known problems.

- Keeps track of all nursing call-offs.

- Attends stand-up daily.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Supervising Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • RN (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
