Principle Responsibilities
Develops / coordinates / implements maintenance and inspection program for firearms
Submits parts orders to Program Manager
Utilizes computer to enter and verify data regarding specific firearms and develop reports
Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership
Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications & Training
18 years of age or older
Minimum 2 years' experience in armorer role OR gunsmithing degree / industry certification
Must have a high degree of organizational skills and attention to detail
Must be able to multi-task while meeting the needs of a rapidly changing environment
Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination
Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America
Performance Results
Completes contract period with 2-4 positive experiences
Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants
Contribute at least one improvement to firearms maintenance procedures
Physical Requirements
Long periods of time sitting / standing and able to lift 50-70 lbs. overhead
Can pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements HERE
