As a Database Administrator, you will be a vital part of our team responsible for managing and optimizing our database systems. Your premium skills in MySQL, performance tuning, and scripting will be valuable in maintaining high availability and enhancing database performance. Additionally, your relevant skill in database design will contribute to the development of efficient database structures. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with teams and stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, manage, monitor, and maintain company database servers including MariaDB and MS SQL Server.
• Ensure database security by implementing best practices and security protocols.
• Manage database access and permissions for users and applications.
• Improve database performance by conducting performance tuning and optimization.
• Regularly update database software and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose database issues, implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
• Migrate data from one system or format to another as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in database administration is required.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems including MariaDB and MS SQL Server.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS and Microsoft Azure is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
