Summary:

• The Fabrication Lead is integral to the production output necessary to best satisfy ABH Mfg customer base. This role requires excellent communication and mechanical skills needed for effective scheduling of staff and machines, along with troubleshooting and properly maintaining departmental equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform safety audits in conjunction with established Safety Protocol.
• Perform maintenance in conjunction with established Maintenance Schedule.
• Assist the maintenance department in the creation and improvement of preventive maintenance tasks.
• Develop and maintain a good relationship with external vendors.
• Analyze daily fabrication production totals.
• Learn, operate and troubleshoot all Fabrication equipment.
• Participate in visitor tours in the Fabrication department.
• Be proficient in the departmental process and equipment.
• Provide day-to-day technical advice, problem solving, and support operations and maintenance.
• Prioritize daily schedule, crate allocation, production updates.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with Anodizing leads & GH Assembly leads.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all required consumables, including chemicals, tooling, PPE gear, etc.
• Be proficient in the departmental process and equipment.
• Track quality control issues and communicate them effectively.
• Ensure finished goods are within established quality control protocol.
• Train team members.
• Production staffing.
• Review, maintain and update existing SOPs.

Must Haves:

• Clear understanding of the Fabrication process and equipment.
• Clear understanding of material handling.
• Ability to enact and follow proper decontamination protocol
• Attention to detail and Strong organizational skills.
• Communication Skills: Effective written/verbal communication skills with vendors and internal departments.
• Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and production planning software

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in Operations, Engineering, or related field in Manufacturing.
• Proven Experience in leading and managing teams, preferably in a technology-focused environment.
• Efficient and Proficient in Lean Manufacturing Practices.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Standing for your entire shift
• Manual dexterity

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
