Sterling Engineering is Hiring a Sales Executive Near Itasca, IL

Sales Executive

Itasca, IL (On-Site Position)

5%-10% National Travel (All expenses paid for, never on weekends)

Starting Base Salary: $90,000-$110,000/year (Depending on experience within the industry)

Commissions: Estimated $15k-$35k/year

JOB DUTIES:

  • Help grow our fastest-growing division; in the utilities and data center industry.
  • Bring in new business and accounts
  • Grow existing accounts and manage sales relationships with key clients
  • Follow up on leads
  • Attend trade shows
  • Source and hunt for leads and meet with potential clients
  • Negotiate and close contracts

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • 5 years Sales Experience
  • Experience selling large-scale systems or machinery
  • Strong technical aptitude in building engineering and mechanical/electrical systems
  • Ability to manage and grow a pipeline of business with multiple customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate and close deals
  • A proven track record of teamwork with internal departments and operations personnel to collaborate to ensure customer satisfaction and effective problem-solving
  • Proficiency in typical business tools including MS Office, CRM and ERP applications, Salesforce experience preferred
