Synectics Inc. is Hiring a Financial Controller Near Jefferson, MO
- The Financial Controller will assist our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in overseeing financial activities within the company, ensuring that the accounts payable and accounts receivable departments operate efficiently and accurately.
- This role involves managing construction contracts, bonding, and insurance processes, preparing state filings, and conducting and overseeing various audits.
- The Financial Controller will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting senior management in strategic decision-making.
- Oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and reporting.
- Construction Contracts & Compliance: Review construction contracts to ensure compliance with legal and financial requirements.
- Obtain necessary project bonding for projects as required.
- Prepare and file periodic state filings in accordance with regulations.
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable: Supervise and manage the accounts payable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor and subcontractor payments.
- Audits & Reporting: Prepare and manage various audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage general ledger entries and maintain accurate financial records.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Analyze financial data and generate reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Assist the CFO in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial projections.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in financial management, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
