Allstate Floors is Hiring a Purchasing Clerk Near Jessup, MD

Description

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager (title subject to change), the Purchasing Clerk ensures procurement of materials, tools, and equipment according to contract terms and schedule, at the best price and quality. The Purchasing Clerk reviews project schedules and product approvals to confirm material orders are accurate and timely. The Purchasing Clerk works with vendors to identify and track material delivery ETAs. The Purchasing Clerk schedules delivery from vendors to Allstate’s warehouse and project sites. Working with the Installation Manager, the Purchasing Clerk facilitates the receiving and storing of materials according to warehouse schedule and space availability. The Purchasing Clerk monitors vendor accounts, working with accounting to ensure all accounts are current to avoid payments holds on material delivery, and timely payment of vendor invoices. Role responsibilities are not limited to this description.

  • Review project details for materials requested to be ordered:
  • Send purchase order details
  • Assist warehouse when materials arrive for accuracy and receipt
  • Assist with job close-out and costing invoices

Requirements

  •  High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Bachelor's degree or experience in supply chain management (preferred)
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Excel and full Office Suite
  • Organizational skills
  • Time management skills
