In this role as Warehouse Shipping Specialist, you will be managing our in- and outbound shipping, interfacing with our Johnson City warehouse staff and peers in both, local and German departments.

The ideal candidate must have previous warehouse and shipping experience, be a self-starter with attention to detail, competitive, driven, articulate, thoughtful, very organized and have experience with ERP software.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Receive and process incoming shipments, properly box and store goods in their designated location

2. Prepare and process outgoing shipments, properly label, and store goods in their designated location

• Plan logistics to ensure scheduling of both large and small shipments
• Ensure all shipments receive the proper labeling and documentation and are packaged safely for transportation and according to customer specifications

5. Maintain accurate inventory records

6. Trouble shoot shipping and customer issues that arise and work to solve them

• Process and load orders efficiently to ensure timely shipments.
• Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders, pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in the delivery area.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using the ERP system, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in using inventory management software and scanning equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and exemplary professionalism are required
• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse machinery safely.
• Experience scheduling LTL, FedEx, UPS, etc.,
• Experience using a forklift
• Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills in complex situations
• Work under pressure and to prioritize tasks to meet due dates
• Advanced computer skills and good knowledge of standard MS365 / ERP / business operation applications

QUALIFICATIONS

• U.S. work permit (Required)
• Experience as shipping expert in warehouse environments (Required)
• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Prior experience with freight forwarders, customs brokers or US wholesale importers (Required)
• Driving license
• German / Spanish language skills are a plus
