Electrical Service Specialists are responsible for the I&C on our power distribution equipment at our Hyper-Scale Data Center sites.
Scope includes, but not limited to, setting communication devices and topology industrial networks, uploading HMI / PLC programs, installation of I / O and CPUs, integration of 3
Party EPMS, initial testing, operation, troubleshooting and modification of customer equipment and systems including MV / LV switchgear, transformers, metering, power monitoring, power quality, and protective relays.
This position entails an initial four-month training period that will necessitate travel.
We are looking for an Electrical Service Specialist. This role will be based in the greater Des Moines, IA, area.
You'll make an impact by :
Lead basic to complex installation and checkout of electric and electronic components for systems and service installed jobs and service agreements.
Tasks are associated with maintenance and testing of switchgear / switchboard, motor controls, circuit breakers, panel boards, transformers, and surge protection devices.
Responsible for vibration analysis and metering, battery maintenance and testing, power monitoring, power quality, and protective relay maintenance.
Act as technical resource to customers and field employees
Provide expert advice, training, and technical assistance to support staff and train lower-level employees. Complete and submit reports covering all job activity.
Responsible for maintaining complex tools, test equipment, calibration items, etc.
Plan and estimate labor categories, rates, material dollar costs, and transportation expenses to complete complex proposals.
Perform review of complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics; provide continual guidance throughout the project duration.
Must be available to respond to emergency and relief assignments.

The pay range for this position is $63,980 - $109,680 . The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
