SEEDS Ecology & Education Centers is Hiring a Site Supervisor Near Kalkaska, MI

SummaryThe Site Supervisor will deliver support to the Multi-Site Coordinator and other team members to provide nutrition, enrichment, and academic and emotional support to Kalkaska Elementary, grades K-3rd grade. SEEDS EcoSchool brings place-based learning opportunities to students across Northern Michigan. Teach staff prioritize hands-on and outdoor activities that develop leadership, life skills, and resilience.
Essential Job DutiesEstablish and maintain excellent work relationships with the Multi-Site Coordinator, fellow site staff members, school staff, students, and student families
Become well-versed in requirements, understand and responsible for compliance and data collection required by DHHS/LARA
Assist in collecting and maintaining completed Child Information Records (CIR)
Routinely run activities in classroom, without supervision at least half of the time
Run program, provide leadership and oversee SEEDS support staff in the absence of the Multi-Site Coordinator, including responding to all emergencies and carrying out emergency response plans
Document child behavior and incidents in accordance with LARA regulations
Track and report documentation required by Michigan Department of Education (MDE) and SEEDS is in a timely manner
Manage EZ reports
Enter weekly child attendance
Enter/update EZ reports activities weekly
Input/update child enrollment forms
Facilitate end of year surveys
Assist with creation and collection of programming documents required for Grant Electronic Monitoring (GEMS)
Prepare and conduct high-quality lessons, utilizing EEE resources, that align with grant objectives, and provide academic and social enrichment to students
Assist in the Youth Program Quality Intervention (YPQI) process and contribute to the development and fulfillment of site Program Improvement Goals (PIGS)
Other Duties
Communicate with, and solicit, assistance from other SEEDS team members to complete responsibilities, as needed
Maintain a clean, tidy and safe learning environment for students on a daily basis
Attend After School regional and circle meetings as direct by supervisor
All other duties, as assigned
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for up to 3 hours at a time
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Ability to walk up and down stairs regularly
Ability to stoop, kneel, and pick up items from the floor to a standing position
Ability/willingness to spend up to an hour outdoors in summer and winter temperatures and weather conditions
Ability to hike on uneven terrain for up to 3 hours
Ability to hear sounds and recognize the difference between them
Ability to run short periods of time
Must be able to easily get up and down off of the floor

Ability to manage and keep track of many deadlines
Ability to navigate a variety of online databases (EZReports, MiRegistry, GSuite, Powerschools)
Ability to lead a team of support staff

Familiarity with Google products (gmail, drive, calendar, etc) and Microsoft office products
Ability to read and comprehend DHHS/LARA program requirements
Strong general writing skills
QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED required
Must be able to pass all required background checks
TB test required
Willing to get First Aid/CPR certification
Minimum of 1 year working with youth
6 hours in child development or 15 CEUs in child care training
400 hours working with school aged children
At least 18 years of age
Previous Supervisory Experience, PreferredPosition Information
25-32 hours per week, typically Monday – Friday, approximately 11:30AM – 6:30 PM, with occasional additional evening or weekend hours, as needed
Summer Program work hours: 40 hours per week, late June- early August, Monday – Friday, approximately 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend hours, as needed
