Job Title: Medical Billing Clerk

Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Medical Billing Clerk to join our client’s team. The role involves preparing and submitting insurance claims, ensuring their accuracy and completeness, and following up on any issues or rejections. This position is crucial for maintaining the efficiency of the billing process and supporting the financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims either electronically or by paper, with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure all claims are processed with zero errors and follow up on any discrepancies.
  • Handle clearinghouse rejections, including updating incorrect patient information and resubmitting claims.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to resolve issues and obtain necessary information for claim approvals.
  • Perform routine audits of paper claims and correct any identified errors.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, preferably within the physical rehabilitation or therapy sector.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and Workers' Compensation insurance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience in medical billing software (Raintree preferred).
  • Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT coding.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Assignment Type: Direct Hire
  • Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Onsite position in Keller, TX
  • Immediate start available, with a 2-week notice period acceptable.
