What is Private Duty Nursing?
Private Duty Nursing involves providing personalized care in the comfort of the client's home for individuals with specialized healthcare needs who require continuous hourly nursing services, for up to 16 hours per day.
Responsibilities Of Private Duty Nurses
- Delivering one-on-one care and fostering patient interaction
- Conducting vital signs and physical assessments
- Administering prescribed medications and treatments
- Documenting the patient's ongoing condition
- Possibility of managing G-tubes, trach care, and vent care
- Specialized one-on-one training
- Training for Trach, Ventilator, and G-Tube care
- Access to a 24/7 support team
