Compensation and Benefits:
  • Compensation: Starting wage $18.15, adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary:
The Events Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Events & Sponsorship Manager at Killington/Pico Resort in accomplishing the tasks related to planning and executing special events, programming, partner integration and activations at Killington Resort/Pico Mountain.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Contribute to the planning process of events and competitions, creation of programing and animation, contract execution, budget management, staffing and event evaluation
  • Contribute to idea generation and planning for events and activations
  • Execute the set-up and tear-down of events/activations
  • Coordinate operational aspects of events, organize equipment, on-site personnel, and assist with registration
  • Create data sheets for assigned events and groups to include infrastructure, hospitality needs and operational plans
  • Responsible for the overall successful execution of the event or group
  • Support operations of events and activations for initiatives
  • Implement sponsor activations and coordinate partner events
  • Proactively communicate event details and ensure awareness across the resort via data sheets and organized communications
  • Work in collaboration with the Marketing team to ensure event and partner marketing and promotional needs are met
  • Work closely with marketing to ensure events and programs are brand aligned and are clearly communicated to maximize exposure and impact of events and programs
  • Work with various departments to ensure event and programming components are being fulfilled as necessary (i.e. lodging, food, tickets, operations etc.)
  • Execute partner deliverables and coordinate program development and delivery of contractual obligations in coordination with POWDR Corp
  • Responsible for measurement, tracking, and post-event evaluation to understand event success
  • Serve as Killington Ambassador creating favorable public image and enhancing the company’s visibility and reputation. Represent the interests of the company and work closely with industry partners and community stakeholders on mutually beneficial goals and initiatives
  • Assist other departments during peak/busy period by fulfilling the required team support shifts that are asked at the time
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree, preferably in recreation, business, or event management, or a combination of education and experience
  • Must be intermediate to advanced skier or snowboarder
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as part of regular schedule and must be flexible with hours
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must have valid US driver’s license
  • Must be in good physical condition and work outdoors in winter conditions for extended periods of time
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must have strong operational and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks at one time
  • Knowledge of computer programs and systems such as Microsoft Office 365 Suite
  • Employee is subject to work beyond normal scheduled work hours to include weekends, evenings & holidays
  • Knowledge of Killington Resort and Pico Mountain with a passion for year-round outdoor recreation is a plus
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
  • Previous event/coordinating experience
