Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the nursing staff. Your role will involve providing direct patient care, managing patient flow, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
Duties:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff
- Coordinate patient care activities and ensure adherence to established protocols
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
- Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably in acute care
- Knowledge of hospice palliative medicine principles is a plus
- Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center or occupational health setting is desirable
