What will your role be?

Scalian is looking for an experienced project manager engineer that will be supporting the operations performance of our supplier’s partner. You will be working directly with a tier1 aerospace supplier, be involved in the day-to-day operations, and working closely with Quality, Production, and Procurement. You will act as a liaison between this supplier and the final customer a renowned OEM, making sure to improve the communication flow. Overall, your will be the onsite lead for a complex performance improvement plan to secure delivery of critical aerospace parts.

Activities:

  • Define a clear project planning with objectives, scope, timelines, resource allocation to allow supplier performance improvement.
  • Perform Critical Path Identification and Clash Analysis on supply chain and manufacturing workstreams.
  • Establish project milestones and routines ensuring regular checkpoints for progress evaluation, task completion, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Be the focal point in project governance for decision-making, issue resolution, and communication, ensuring project alignment with joint organizational objectives (Customer and supplier)
  • Act as a point of contact for the OEM to track supplier part manufacturing status by performing Gemba walks.
  • Challenge the supplier forecast and production plan to make sure it aligns with OEM expectations.
  • Report to Director level management on onsite situation on a weekly basis.

What skills and qualifications are we looking for?

  • 5 years in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment
  • Impeccable Project management skills
  • Experienced in quality, problem-solving, and root cause analysis
  • Experienced dealing with critical suppliers.
  • Successful experience improving manufacturing performance in an industrial environment, preferably aerospace related.
  • Excellent synthesis and reporting skills.
