SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for testing materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable standards in the foam plant. This position tests products across the three stages of production (before, in-process, and final) to ensure quality levels are met. Also, participates in the batching process and basic maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform quality testing of foam during production runs.
- Perform long term testing and maintain resulting records.
- Identify quality issues
- Accurately perform raw material profile
- Laboratory testing of raw materials
- Provide assistance to foam production process and continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist in batching raw materials.
- Act as back up to during vacations and additional shift requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and specifications
- Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards
- Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly
- Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency
