POSITION SUMMARY

TheChild Care Caseworker provides administrative duties to support the Child Care Programand Workforce Development (WFD).

This position provides support andencouragement to program participants. This position requires multi-tasking andtimely completion of tasks in coordination and collaboration with all WFDstaff.

This position will report directly to the WFD Director or designee.

PRINCIPALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Works with participants to encourage and maintain self-sufficiencythrough WFD programs and resources.

2.Works closely with staff, and partnering agencies to maintain compliancewith WFD program regulations, including but not limited to current caseload.

3.Must become familiar with Public Law 102-477, prioritizing the Child Careprogram policy & procedures, regulations, and allowable costs.

5.Organizes provider training and special projects to increaseself-sufficiency by empowering Maniilaq Service Area Tribal Members witheducation and / or employment goals through Child Care Program.

6.Process payments for all 477 programs according to program regulations,policies and procedures.

7.Travels as required for trainings, conferences, home visits, and / orclient services.

8.Schedules and organizes annual training / meetings for 477 participants.

9.The Child Care Caseworker will have delegated authority to act in theabsence of the Child Care Case Manager or designee.

10.Researches and organizes information assisting in logistical processimprovements.

Job Qualifications : MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

ChildCare Caseworker I

Highschool diploma or equivalent. 2 years administrative assistant work experienceor equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Able to typecompetently and utilize computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,and willing to train in the software system : TAS).

Valid Alaska driver’slicense (or obtained within 3 months of hire date) with a good enough drivingrecord to be covered by Maniilaq’s insurance.

Must have excellent verbalcommunication and writing skills to have the ability to interpret and applystate and federal policy and laws and statutes.

ChildCare Caseworker II

Metall requirements of Child Care Caseworker I plus an additional year of theChild Care Program or Workforce Development Programs work experience, mustdemonstrate the ability to assist, complete and maintain program reports.

ChildCare Caseworker III

Metall requirements of Child Care Caseworker II plus an additional year of theChild Care Program or Workforce Development Programs work experience,demonstrate the ability to edit and maintain internal process by working withthe software program staff.
