The Lexington Day Program Trainer / Driver implements an effective vocational training program for adults with disabilities and special needs and assists individuals with self-help skills (i.
e. toileting, eating, etc.). The Trainer / Driver must have a valid SC Driver's license. A high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities and special needs is preferred.
The physical requirements of the job involve direct care of individuals including assistance in a work shop setting as well as feeding and toileting, lifting 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand or walk for a long period of time, and drive and transport individuals including wheel chair bound.
