Allegiant Property Management is currently seeking a full-time Accounting Specialist at our corporate office in La Crescent, Minnesota. As part of our Accounting Team, this position's responsibilities will include accounts receivable, month end entries, cash monitoring, and financial statement preparation for multiple properties. This position reports to the Accounting Supervisor.

Accounting Specialist Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Reconciles bank accounts, prepare and post journal entries for all general ledger accounts.
• Perform month end close and journal entries.
• Process tenant rent payments, Housing assistance payments and all other cash receipts, prepare bank deposits.
• Manage cash positions by updating G/L daily.
• Monitor and execute requested resident and client transactions.
• Payroll timesheet entry
• Perform intercompany transactions and generate subsequent repayments.
• Works with front line staff to resolve rent deposit discrepancies.
• Reconcile year end accounts in preparation for annual audits. Work with auditors on requested information.
• Process W2s and 1099's

Accounting Specialist Qualifications: Two-year accounting degree preferred, or equivalent in accounting experience, required Strong general ledger, accounts receivable knowledge required Proficient computer skills, intermediate Excel required. Highly organized, self-motivated, and possess the ability to prioritize tasks based on tight deadlines and shift as necessary Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, but also be a team player. Possess a high level of problem solving and investigative skills, ability to think "outside of the box". Allegiant Property Management, LLC is an at-will employer.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
