Medix is Hiring a Production supervisor Near Laconia, NH
Medix is seeking a Second Shift Production Supervisor for a medical device manufacturer located near Laconia, NH. As an integral member of the value stream, you will be responsible for collaborating with engineers and planners to oversee the production team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 2 : 30PM - 11 : 00PM EST.
Salary is 70K - 90K depending on experience.
Responsibilities :
- Provide direction to resolve technical and production-related issues, ensuring weekly schedules meet or exceed company and customer expectations.
- Align product lines with the master production schedule and material planning to achieve production targets.
- Monitor and report on departmental performance measures, including visual controls.
- Ensure accurate closure of work orders in Oracle.
- Enforce adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Supervise over 40 Associates, promoting a safe work environment and a self-directed team approach. This includes CNC machinists, light assembly technicians, quality technicians, and shipping associates.
- Communicate regularly with Plant management regarding production, facility, and Associate performance.
- Identify and arrange training to foster a safe, efficient, and quality-focused work environment, emphasizing continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing principles.
- Provide leadership in all areas, including hiring, performance management, reviews, coaching, counseling, and corrective actions.
- Analyze production processes and recommend improvements, utilizing Six-Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Promote diversity, open communication, and trust, offering opportunities for training and growth.
- Adapt to business needs and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or lead role within manufacturing, with demonstrated product and assembly or machine shop experience.
- Exposure to CNC fabrication is ideal : mills, lathes or swiss CNC
- Ability to bend, lift, sit, and stand for extended periods. Occasionally required to lift up to 40lbs.
- Must be able and willing to wear personal protective equipment as required, including protective eyewear, safety glasses, and gloves.
