Principles of Faith Academy is a small private Christian school in beautiful Lakeland, Florida. Our goal is to hire exceptional staff to connect with our great commission of strengthening our students academically and spiritually.
Principles of Faith Academy (PFA) is accepting applications for two positions, one full-time elementary teacher and one full-time middle school teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This candidate will possess a true passion for educating our next generation of students. PFA believes in providing students with the best environment to develop their skills and are seeking individuals who share this vision and focus on student development (spiritually) as well as academic performance.
Candidates will possess 3 years teaching experience (preferred) or
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or other discipline or
AA/AS with 3 years teaching experience at public or private school.
Florida state certification preferred or must be able to be certified in the state of Florida.
Candidates will manage students in a small multigrade class (10-12students).
Job Responsibilities
Salary: 10 -month without summer compensation. All other student vacation and holidays are paid.
Responsibilities: (includes but not limited to)
- Instructional: creates a classroom environment conducive to learning by employing a variety of appropriate teaching strategies. Encourages student enthusiasm for the learning process and the development of good study habits.
- Facilitate assigned curriculum, access supplemental resources and assist in selection of books, equipment and other instructional materials.
- Provide a positive learning environment for students.
- Be responsive and supportive to students' needs.
- Classroom Management: maintain a safe environment for students and staff and manage behavior problems in the classroom.
- Ability to communicate with parents about their children.
- Facilitate student evaluation as required
- Work well individually and as a part of a team
