Position Overview:

The Facility Maintenance Associate at Modular Closets is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and safety of the facility. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and ensuring the facility is clean and orderly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance on facility equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Address any repair needs promptly to minimize downtime.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule to ensure the longevity and efficient operation of facility equipment.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that the facility complies with all safety regulations and standards. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.
• Inventory Management: Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Order new supplies as needed and ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
• Facility Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, including common areas, production spaces, and restrooms. Ensure that all areas are free of debris and hazards.
• Emergency Response: Respond to facility emergencies, such as power outages, equipment failures, or safety incidents. Coordinate with external contractors and emergency services as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Report any significant issues to the Facility Manager.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, warehouse, and office staff, to ensure that facility needs are met and that operations run smoothly.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in facility maintenance or a related field preferred.
• Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in facility maintenance or a similar role. Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus.
• Skills: Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills. Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment and systems. Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks. Must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including heat and cold.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well in a team and interact effectively with colleagues.

Working Conditions:

• This position requires working in a manufacturing facility, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• The role may require occasional evening or weekend work to address emergencies or complete essential maintenance tasks.
