The Director of Surgical Services will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations throughout the department and will oversee approximately 65 FTEs across multiple units, including SPD, PACU, Outpatient, Recovery, and Surgical Services. The director will report to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
This position is responsible for evaluating staff competencies, department policies, and procedures to ensure best practices are in place and to enforce high accountability throughout the department.
This leader will examine current processes and models of care, conduct analysis to determine areas needing improvement, and improve quality and safety metrics.
RequirementsBSN degree Required
Minimum of 2 years as director/manager of Surgical Services.
Arizona Registered Nurse and Compact State Registered Nurse required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association required upon hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association required upon hire
Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) preferred.
ModerateSedation Certification preferred.
