Description:
Client is in process of planning their refresh/upgrade of their Windows and Mac devices across their corporate IT/manufacturing/distribution infrastructure. Currently their are over 800 devices (85% windows/ 15% macs) in their scope that need to be upgraded to Windows 11 which could involve updating the device or replacing the device.
Job Description
This technician will be responsible for reaching out to users that are on the list to be upgraded to coordinate a time to access their device whether it is remotely or onsite to ensure that their backup is synchronizing, they will then take the new machine and image it using autopilot (Intune's provisioning process) and use Active Directory to disable their account on prem and enable it on azure AD. Coordinating with the user they will then pick a time for them to come in and exchange their PC for the upgraded PC. The technician will be responsible for ensuring everything has transitioned to the new PC and if their are any one off applications that need to be installed to the new PC for the prospective user. The technician will also be responsible to do spot checks after upgrades to ensure that the user was happy with their service and that their device is running smoothly.
