Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment

Twice voted "Best of the Berkshires," we are sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 2013 and maintain a mission-based environment for our staff and residents.

We are looking for an Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment - Part-Time.

15 to 20 hours per week; Flexible 8a to Noon or 1pm

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Qualifications :

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Certification as an Activity Assistant preferred.
• Prior experience working with the older population and knowledge of therapeutic recreation and other activities preferred.

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Job Summary :

• Assist in planning the monthly activity calendar.
• Work as part of the interdisciplinary team to promote holistic health care for residents.
• Transport residents to and from activities.
• Documentsindividual progress for all designed activities.
• Assist in delivery of the newspapers and mail daily.
• Report significant attitude and behaviors of residents during activities to their charge nurse or nursing supervisor.
• Implement planned activities daily.

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Working Conditions :

Requires light physical effort on a regular basis, as in frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, or reaching and / or occasional lifting of light items.

up to 20 lbs.) pushing / pulling wheelchairs.

• Must be able to work flexible scheduled hours, daily and weekly.
• Rotating Weekend coverage required.
