 Dirigo Federal Credit Union is a profitable and fast-growing community credit union headquartered in Lewiston, Maine. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Card Services Representative in our Lewiston Operations Office. We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, career-minded professional with the vision, passion, and ability for exceeding the expectations of our member-owners. The ideal individual will support Credit Union associates and members by responding to and initiating requests for information and assistance with Debit and Credit Cards. Maintain level of consistency, quality, and professionalism with regard to serving our members. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Processes approved credit/debit card applications; orders cards and setup member files in computer system; verifies accuracy of cards issued and sends cards to member.

2. Provides members with information and direction regarding their account status, requests, payments, and rights and obligations associated with the account; processes member requests for charge-backs according to established policy. Manage escalated disputes and service issues. Report fraud losses to insurance company along with required documents, file pre-arbitration for represented charge-backs, log and document results of charge-back and pre-arbitration cases.

3. Receives blocking notices from officials and places designated cards in hold file until release is authorized.

4. Prepares and balances related reports and accounts.

5. Works closely with Risk Analyst to mitigate fraud.

6. Assist branches with ATM settlement errors, card printer issues and monitor supplies related to card printing.

7. Maintains related files and control records.

8. Back up to Call Center as needed

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION:

Experience and Skill Requirements: The following experience and skills are considered essential:

• 6 months to 2 years of similar or related experience.

• Interpersonal Skills- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.

• Strong member service skills.

• Knowledge of sales and relationship building skills.

• Knowledge and awareness of all Credit Union products and services.

• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.

• Knowledge of computers.

• Be trustworthy while working with sensitive information

• Dependable- Ability to show up to work daily and on time.

• Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.

• Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following Credit Union procedures.

Education Requirements: The following education requirements are considered essential:

• High School Diploma or GED
