Accountant:

Our client in the Dallas Fort Worth Area has an immediate need for an Accountant on a long-term contract basis.

Accountant Role:

The accountant will manage various day-to-day accounting tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities. You will play a key role in preparing and analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with established accounting standards and company policies.

Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures

Prepare and post journal entries

Analyze general ledger account activity

Reconcile accounts and verify accuracy of reports

Contribute to monthly and quarterly management and financial reporting

Assist in the review process for balance sheet accounts

Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts

Investigate and resolve discrepancies

Highlight concerns and suggest improvements

Gather and compile data for tax reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis

Monitor adherence to accounting policies and standards

Prepare ad hoc analyses for various departments

Support the Controller and Assistant Controller with special projects

Provide assistance during year-end audits, including preparing audit schedules

Accountant Background Profile:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

4-6 years of experience in accounting (public or private)

Familiarity with Oracle preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational and time management abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Excel
