• $65-85k

What you’ll do as the Senior Accountant:

• Record transactions in ledgers; prepare trial balances and simple financial statements using computer software
• Reconcile accounts to control accounts
• Perform scheduled computations of accruals, property, and equipment, and calculate depreciation expense
• Prepare business and personal income tax returns, including appointments with clients
• Perform QuickBooks Consulting and maintain proficiency with software
• Prepare, or direct preparation of, complete financial statements and related reports for clients, including reviews and compilations
• Prepare payroll and sales tax returns
• Perform all audit functions and tests as prescribed in applicable audit programs
• Delegate specific audit programs and duties, provide training to junior staff members, and review work papers, financial statements, and reports prior to final review
• Prepare proposals and responses to bid requests for prospective audit clients as well as fee quotations for tax, payroll, and accounting services
• Maintain a working knowledge of all current auditing laws, statutes, etc.
• Prepare, or direct preparation of, complete financial statements and related reports for audit clients

What you’ll bring to the Senior Accountant role:

• Accounting degree or educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam required; Certified Public Accountant preferred
• Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles and income tax
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
• Effective, timely, and professional communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong computer aptitude
