DescriptionWe are in search of a skilled Controller to join our team based in Littleton, Massachusetts. This role involves a multitude of responsibilities including operational accounting, financial statement preparation, and forecasting and budgeting tasks. The position is a contract role that will provide the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment within the services industry. This is a part-time role.

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the entire accounting operations including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements and reports.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close process ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
- Coordinate with the finance team to complete annual audits.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Oversee all financial, project, and grants accounting; ensuring expenditure control.
- Conduct regular budget reviews to ensure financial compliance.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online is a must.
- Demonstrated expertise in budget processes
- Proven experience with month-end financial tasks
- Ability to perform month-end duties
- Skilled in financial statement preparation
- Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures
- Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting
- Proficiency in using Quickbooks Online
